SDMRRC INTRODUCTION
The San Diego Model Railroad Club (SDMRRC) is comprised of the 2700 sq. ft.
Cabrillo & Southwestern O-Scale Exhibit
and the 4500 sq.ft.
San Diego & Arizona Eastern HO-Scale Exhibit.
Although several hundred model railroad clubs exist today, very few are as large
and as old as the SDMRRC. Founded in 1938, the HO club has existed at various
locations throughout the decades. It moved into the House of Charm in Balboa
Park with the Balboa Park O Scale Club in 1948. The clubs merged in 1963 and
remained there until 1978. The San Diego Club moved into it's current museum
location in 1982.
Club work sessions conducted every Friday night. See our on-line newsletter and trolley newsletter for recent accomplishments. Business
meetings occur the first Friday night of January, March, May, July, September,
October, and November. Visitors on work nights must enter through the back door of
the museum.
Membership is open to interested parties. Visiting Membership for the year
2004 is available to persons residing outside San Diego County for
$60/calendar year, renewable each February for the following year. All other membership
classes must present application in person to the club board on the first Friday of any month.

Are you interested in our youth program? Click here for flyer
(requires Acrobat Reader to view) for more information. Starts October 1st and there is
limited enrollment.
